This site is a tribute to Jan who passed away peacefully in St Barnabas House on 19th October 2018 after a long brave fight. Beloved wife of Richard, loving mum of Frances, Karen, James and Will, much loved nanny of Ben, Harry, Jasmine, Isabella, Georgia, Evie and Henry, she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

What can anyone say about Jan? She was absolutely one in a million; funny; loving; stylish; constantly happy and, since her diagnosis, an absolute inspiration. Her ability to see the positive regardless of what was thrown at her; her determination to make those special dates and to get maximum enjoyment out of every moment was truly incredible. She was always a force to be reckoned with but her true colours showed through in the way she approached her illness with dignity and (forgive the expression) balls!!! Jan, you will always be in our hearts. You were the best of drinking buddies and always the fountain of Broadwater knowledge. Noone can fill the void that your distinctive laugh has left - I will miss it terribly. With all my love. Sandra xxx
